1. Can the script be read as an audition with no charge and why do I have to pay you before I have the final recorded audio file in my posession?
Yes. On the understanding that you have checked out enough of the audio demos on the site, and have decided that the voice IS suitable for your project, your script or, a portion of it will be read and recorded up to one minute for free. We will then send this by email as a streaming MP3 audio link for you to listen to and review, it won't be downloadable as a file. You pay before the final script and downloadable file is completed and sent to you because, one of the major reasons we're able to offer you such an extremely low rate of $59.50 per first minute of audio and $20 for subsequent minutes, is we know we are going to get paid before we deliver the final downloadable file version.
2. If my script is a little longer than 60 seconds what happens?
Your script will always be read at a comfortable pace (which may be longer than your estimated time) but a faster pace can be read if necessary to squeeze it in the appropriate time. But, please keep in mind a general rule of thumb: a professional voice will ALWAYS read slower than you for clarity. Try and time your script as best you can to meet with the length of your audio slot before you enter it into our script form. Please be realistic on timing, we will suggest an edit if necessary to make it workable but, that will always be best coming from you.
3. How many takes of the audio will I receive?
Only one because we send you a free audition sample first and we expect your constructive feedback and any revisions required before we finish the final recording.
4. What happens if my script is long and it's a documentary reading, audiobook or corporate/commercial presentation read on video or CD?
This is where we will be happy to give you a complete quote on the job if you email us a copy of your full script. You could still type in a small portion of your script on the script entering form for a free demo read but, only on the understanding that you have listended to some of the voice demos on this site and have decided you like the voice and you think it's suitable for your project.
5. I have more than one script shall I enter them altogether on the script template?
Actually, we prefer that you complete a separate order form for each script.
6. What happens if I need revisions cut?
If we mispronounce a word, omit a word, or make a punctuation mistake, we will provide a re-read at no extra charge. Just request the re-read by emailing peak.private@gmail.com However, if you decide to change your copy after the final was submitted then, you must fill out a new order form and you will be charged for another spot.
7.Can I pay VOICEFORHIRE in any other way other than PayPal?
No. This is to your advantage. We can keep the price at $59.50 because we do not have to pay for administrative assistance to invoice and collect from our clients.
8. Will I get a receipt for my order?
By completing the order form and making your secure on-line payment with PayPal, you will receive a receipt from PayPal via email.
9. I am a talent that would like to be represented by VOICEFORHIRE. Are you looking for more voices?
We would welcome new talent to join us and help expand our portfolio. Please submit an email letter of interest only first to peak.private@gmail.com There is no need to send us your audio files in the beginning. Once your email and information is received we will review it and probably speak with you on the telephone to establish your experience and interest.
